IRON MASK unveil cover und tracklisting of „Fifth Son Of Winterdoom“ album!

IRON MASK, the band around Belgian guitar wizard Dushan Petrossi, will release its fifth studio album (suitably titled “Fifth Son Of Winterdoom”) on November 8th. After “Black As Death” (2011) this is the second album that features former Yngwie Malmsteen frontman Mark Boals on vocals.

HUMAN FORTRESS - Raided Land

As the old saying goes: it ain't over till it's over... and the story of Hanover (Germany)-based Epic Melodic Metal band HUMAN FORTRESS obviously was not completed. Defying the odds now, after a five-year hiatus and a heavily-discussed previous album ("Eteral Empire") on which the band abandoned from their path, HUMAN FORTRESS are back with a fantastic new offering.
What we have here now is the reunion of the band's former members Todd Wolf (guitars), Volker Trost (guitars) and Apostolos "Laki" Zaios (drums), added by new members Dirk Liehm (keyboards), Andre Hort (bass) and last but not least - the new vocalist of HUMAN FORTRESS, Brazilian Gus Monsanto (ex-Revolution Renaissance/Adagio).
The goal for their mission was clear right from the start:
"We wanted to continue with the style of music that Human Fortress was known for after the first two albums "Lord Of Earth And Heavens Heir" (2001) and "Defenders Of The Crown (2003)", guitarist Wolf explains. "Of course there will be a different flavor to the new material, because we have a new singer, a new bassist and keyboard player. Also we of course don’t want to deliver a 1:1 copy of our previous albums. But the fans can look forward to an album that features all typical Human Fortress trademarks.”

And the kind of quality that HUMAN FORTRESS deliver with their fourth album “Raided Land” is indeed more than impressive and exceeds all expectations. The band has managed to create an Epic Melodic Metal album fullof big hooklines and their characteristic melodies. There is a folky/Medieval touch to the material at times, also the guitars are a little heavier (in a classic way) and on top of this, Gus Monsanto is towering with his powerfull and expressive voice that makes the stories of old battles come alive before your inner eye.
It's the combination of melody, heaviness and their quite unique songwriting (still somewhere between Kamelot, Virgin Steele and Iron Maiden) that makes HUMAN FORTRESS stand out.
“Raided Land” was mixed and mastered by Seeb Levermann (Orden Ogan), cover artwork and booklet layouts are by Croatian artist Kristijan Kulis.

The beginnings of HUMAN FORTRESS reach back to 1997, when the Hard Rock band “Timezone” was founded in the Hanover area, which later should change their style towards Melodic Metal and rename to HUMAN FORTRESS. After a first demo, which was very well received in the underground, several contract offers came up so the band signed with Limb Music. The debut album “Lord Of Earth And Heavens Heir” was released to critical acclaim in 2001, followed by “Defenders Of The Crown” two years later. With several line-up changes (most significantly ex-Galloglass vocalist Carsten Frank replacing Jioti Parcharidis), the band’s third album “Eternal Empire” was released in 2008. Despite the album’s qualities, the down-tuned guitars, more modern overall approach of the material and the shouting of Frank were a departure from the epic melodic sound that HUMAN FORTRESS were known for. Shortly after the release of “Eternal Empire”, the band split.
But at the end of 2008, original members Wolf, Trost, Parcharidis and Zaios started planning to resurrect HUMAN FORTRESS. In 2009 Jioti Parcharidis left the band again for medical reasons. It took a while to get together a stable line-up again, which was found by the addition of Dirk Liehm (keyboards), Andre Hort (bass) and Brazilian master vocalist Gus Monsanto (ex-Timo Tolkki’s Revolution Renaissance, Adagio).

First plans: a re-release of the band’s debut album “Lord Of Earth And Heavens Heir” (incl. 4 bonus tracks) on October 25^th and of course the release of the brand new HUMAN FORTRESS masterpiece “Raided Land” on November 29^th

"Possession" wird es heißen, das neue Album der polnischen Heavy Metal Band um Fromntfrau Marta Gabriel. Das gute Stück wird am 13. Dezember als CD und Vinyl erscheinen. Das Frontcover wurde von Michal Oracz, dem bekanntesten polnischen Designer für RPGs (RolePlay Games) erstellt. Consistency, integrity and quality are words that first comes to mind when you hear the name EKTOMORF. One and a half years after the “Black Flag” album, it’s time to welcome the newest piece of work by the band around charismatic frontman Zoli Farkas.
“Retribution”again is a first-class “fist in your face” album, displaying heavy grooves and sheer power in the best of ways. Refining and bringing things to
perfection was the goal, and this has been achieved impressively.
On the song “Numb And Sick”, the band welcomes Ill Niño vocalist Cristian Machado as a guest, and his duet with Zoli give another new flavour to a record that clearly points out that EKTOMORF, even 20 years after its foundation in 1993, is still a raging, energetic force with the intensity of a bulldozer.
And the songs on “Retribution” will make their way into the band’s live set and become fan favourites quickly, be sure!
“Retribution” was again mixed and mastered y the band’s long time producer Tue Madsen (Antfarm studios).
EKTOMORF was founded in 1993 in Mezökovacsháza, Hungary, a small city near the Romanian border, by Zoltán "Zoli" Farkas. In the actual line-up Zoli - songwriter and mastermind of the band - is the only remaining founder member. The band is completed by Michael Rank (guitar), Szabolcs Murvai (bass) and Robert Jaksa (drums).
Due to his gipsy background Zoli saw himself confronted with racism and prejudices. But this didn’t hold the band back from establishing an international career. The breakthrough came, when EKTOMORF started their collaboration with Danish producer Tue Madsen in 2003. Madsen helped the band to find their very own, super fat, modern and powerful sound that EKTOMORF evolved since “Destroy” (2004) steadily.

EKTOMORF's lyrics reflect this situation and deal with discrimination, society, pain and anger but show a strong will to survive and overcome all problems. Their music combines the burning fire of the primal gipsy music with modern elements: groovy, down tuned guitar riffs and aggressive drums, supplemented by powerful and raw screaming vocals became their trademarks. Regardless of all circumstances EKTOMORF established itself as one of the most successful Hungarian bands, well known for their intensive, energetic, mind blowing live shows. Playing extensive headliner tours and shows at the biggest European festivals (e.g. Wacken, With Full Force, Sziget, Rock am Ring) the band build up a strong fan base throughout Europe

BRAINSTORM veröffentlichen “Firesoul” im April!

Das schwäbische Power Metal-Geschwader BRAINSTORM hat für Anfang April die Veröffentlichung des neuen Albums “Firesoul” angekündigt.
Zusammen mit Achim Köhler (der schon die Bandklassiker „Soul Temptation“ und „Liquid Monster“ veredelte) entsteht der neue BRAINSTORM Longplayer gerade in den House Of Audio Studios.
Auf der Brainstorm Facebook-Seite halten euch die Jungs über ihre Fortschritte auf dem Laufenden. Hier findet ihr auch schon erste Videos von den Recordings.

BRAINSTORM to release “Firesoul” in April!

Highly-acclaimed German Power Metal masters BRAINSTORM have set „Firesoul“ as the title for their new album which will be released in early April.
The band has entered the House Of Audio studios with Achim Köhler (who worked on their classic albums „Soul Temptation“ und „Liquid Monster“ before) a few weeks ago.

After an almost 7-year break, Melodic Metal masters SILENT FORCE, the band founded and led by guitar player Alex Beyrodt, finally returns with a new studio album. And its title („Rising From Ashes“) couldn’t be more appropriate, as many thought that the highly-acclaimed group had disbanded and would be gone forever, especially after Beyrodt’s success with his classic Hard Rock band Voodoo Circle and joining the line-up of both Primal Fear and Sinner.

But now SILENT FORCE are finally back - with “full force”. The band’s new vocalist is no other than Michael Bormann – in his case it could be said „old/new“ because he already sang on the first (and only) album of the SILENT FORCE predecessor The Sygnet (1998). Mat Sinner (bass), Alessandro Del Vecchio (keyboards) and drummer André Hilgers (who is a part of Silent Force and even The Sygnet from the beginning on) are completing the new line-up. Right after putting finishing touches on the new album, SILENT FORCE were filming a video clip for the first single “Circle Of Trust”. Melodic Metal fans will receive a true highlight release late in the year with „Rising From Ashes“ - an album that has all typical SILENT FORCE trademarks and continues right where the band left off years ago. Mixing and mastering was handled by Achim Köhler (Primal Fear, Avantasia, Brainstorm).

Alex Beyrodt comments: "For me "Rising From Ashes" is not just another new Silent Force record. The long break was necessary to rebuild the band and get rid of all false ascendancy. The new line-up speaks for itself, so does “Rising From Ashes”.

SILENT FORCE was founded by Alex Beyrodt in 1999. With first-class longplayers such as "The Empire Of Future", "Infatuator", "Worlds Apart" and "Walk The Earth" the band earned an excellent reputation. Their very own mixture of melodic Power Metal, Hard Rock and song-oriented guitar shredding was received very well directly and caused to enlarge the fan base with every new SILENT FORCE release. Especially in Japan, where guitar heroes are traditionally met with great appreciation, Beyrodt established himself as a magnitude among the exceptional musicians. The success story found its continuation with Voodoo Circle, with whom Alex stylistically moves in classic Hard Rock waters and was able to secure numerous chart successes in Europe with the albums “Broken Heart Syndrome” (2011) and “More Than One Way Home” (2013). After this strong encouragement, festival appearances with bands like Whitesnake, Journey and Europe, as well as a headlining tour, it seemed unlikely that SILENT FORCE would ever return.

But even more the fans will be excited and highly anticipate the band’s new studio album. And as both the name Alex Beyrodt in general, and SILENT FORCE specifically stand for outstanding quality, quite a lot of fans will count down the days to December 13…

SILENT FORCE „Rising From Ashes“ erscheint am 13. Dezember!

Nach fast 7-jähriger Veröffentlichungspause meldet sich SILENT FORCE, die Melodic Metal Band um Gitarrist Alex Beyrodt, wieder mit einem neuen Album zurück.
Der Titel („Rising From Ashes“) ist dabei passend gewählt, wähnten wohl nicht wenige die enorm populäre und hoch gelobte Gruppe bereits in den ewigen Jagdgründen, speziell nachdem Bandleader Beyrodt mit seiner Classic Hard Rock Band Voodoo Circle Charterfolge feierte und auch bei Primal Fear und Sinner einstieg.
Nun sind SILENT FORCE jedoch zurück – und das mit „full force“.

Neuer Sänger der Truppe ist Michael Bormann – in seinem Fall muss man vielleicht sogar vom neuen alten Sänger sprechen, hat Michael doch bereits das erste (und einzige) Album der quasi SILENT FORCE-Vorgängerband The Sygnet (1998) eingesungen.
Mat Sinner (Bass) und Alessandro Del Vecchio (Keyboards), sowie Schlagzeuger André Hilgers (der auch schon seit The Sygnet-Zeiten dabei ist) komplettieren das neue Line-Up.
Direkt nach Fertigstellung des Albums nahmen Silent Force den Videoclip zur ersten Single „Circle Of Trust“ in Angriff.
Melodic Metal-Fans dürfen sich dank „Rising From Ashes“ auch spät im Jahr noch auf ein grandioses Highlight freuen, denn das Album hat die typischen Silent Force Trademarks und knüpft nahtlos an die erfolgreichen Vorgängerwerke an.

Alex Beyrodt kommentiert: "Rising From Ashes" ist für mich mehr als nur ein weiteres Silent Force Album. Die lange Auszeit war nötig um die Band zu reformieren und sich von falschen Einflüssen zu trennen. Das neue Line-Up spricht Bände, das Album spricht für sich.“

CRYSTAL VIPER: Videoclip zu „Prophet Of The End“ online!

Eis bisschen Exorzismus gefällig? Dann seid ihr bei CRYSTAL VIPER genau richtig. Als Vorboten ihres neuen Albums „Possession“ (erscheint am 13. Dezember) hat die Band nun ihren Clip zum Song  „Prophet Of The End“ online gestellt.

"Das ist wahrscheinlich der ungewöhnlichste Song, den ich jemals komponiert habe”, sagt Frontfrau Marta Gabriel. „Aber ich habe ebenso das Gefühl, dass es unser bisher bester Song sein könnte. Er unterscheidet sich von dem, wie man Crystal Viper bisher kennt, war aber trotzdem unsere erste Wahl fürs Video. Der klassische, geradlinige Heavy Metal ist auf “Possession” natürlich auch wieder stark vertreten, beim Clip wollten wir aber einen atmosphärischeren Song visuell umsetzen. Uns schwebte da eher etwas in Richtung “Paranormnal Activity” oder “The Fourth Kind” vor. Mit der Firma 3D Maximal aus Deutschland machten wir uns dann an die Arbeit und sind mit dem Resultat sehr zufrieden.“

EKTOMORF veröffentlichen “Retribution” am 31. Januar!

Beständigkeit, Integrität und Qualität sind die ersten Begriffe die einem bei Erwähnung von EKTOMORF einfallen. Eineinhalb Jahre nach dem "Black Flag" Album ist es an der Zeit, das neue Werk der Band um den charismatischen Frontmann Zoli Farkas willkommen zu heißen."Retribution" ist wieder ein erstklassiges "fist in your face"-Album, das eindrucksvoll die Verfeinerung des bandtypischen Stils zur Perfektion bringt. Die tonnenschweren Grooves, rohe Kraft und pure Intensität wurden erneut meisterhaft in Szene gesetzt von Produzent Tue Madsen (Antfarm Studios).

Beim Song "Numb And Sick" begrüßt die Band Ill Niño Sänger Cristian Machado als Gast. Sein Duett mit Zoli erweitert den Sound um eine weitere interessante Nuance.
Auch 20 Jahre nach Bandgründung sind EKTOMORF immer noch wütend und unerbittlich wie eh und je - kompromisslos und durchschlagskräftig wie in Bulldozer. Die Songs von "Retribution" werden sich bald im Liveset zu Fan-favoriten entwickeln, soviel dürfte sicher sein.

CRYSTAL VIPER: „Prophet Of The End“ video clip available!

Are you ready for some exorcism? CRYSTAL VIPER give you just that with their brand new video clip “Prophet Of The End”.
The song is taken from band's forthcoming studio album "Possession", which will be released on Friday 13, December 2013, via AFM Records as a CD, limited edition LP and as a digital download. "This is probably the most unusual song I ever wrote, I sometimes think it's even best song I ever composed. We decided to film video clip for it, as it's different than everything CRYSTAL VIPER did in the past. So while people expect straight heavy metal from us, and as we of course deliver such tracks on the new album, this song shows we didn't say last word as a band yet" says vocalist and guitarist Marta Gabriel.
"While working on this video clip, we wanted to achieve similar atmosphere to this one from "Paranormal Activity" movies, or from the "Fourth Kind" with Milla Jovovich, and basically reveal something from the story told on the album. We filmed this clip in Germany with guys from the 3D Maximal company, I think they did a great job and the final result is really cool!" she adds.

EKTOMORF to release new album „Retribution“ on January 31^st!

Consistency, integrity and quality are words that first comes to mind when you hear the name EKTOMORF. One and a half years after the “Black Flag” album, it’s time to welcome the newest piece of work by the band around charismatic frontman Zoli Farkas.
“Retribution” again is a first-class “fist in your face” album, displaying heavy grooves and sheer power in the best of ways. Refining and bringing things to perfection was the goal, and this has been achieved impressively.

On the song “Numb And Sick”, the band welcomes Ill Niño vocalist Cristian Machado as a guest, and his duet with Zoli give another new flavour to a record that clearly points out that EKTOMORF, even 20 years after its foundation in 1993, is still a raging, energetic force with the intensity of a bulldozer. And the songs on “Retribution” will make their way into the band’s live set and become fan favourites quickly, be sure!
“Retribution” was again mixed and mastered y the band’s long-time producer Tue Madsen (Antfarm studios).

SINBREED unterschreiben bei AFM Records!

Mit ihrem Debütalbum „When Worlds Collide“ konnten SINBREED in der Szene bereits für Aufsehen sorgen. Ihr Rezept: Melodic Speed Metal ohne Keyboards, aber mit starken Refrains und Eiern.

Die Band hat nun einen Vertrag mit AFM Records geschlossen und wird im nächsten Jahr ihr zweites Album veröffentlichen. Zum Line-Up ist inzwischen auch Blind Guardian-Gitarrist Marcus Siepen hinzugestoßen.

Fünf Jahre nach Veröffentlichung von “Eternal Empire” melden sich die Epic Melodic Metaller HUMAN FORTRESS mit einem neuen Album zurück – und machen dort weiter, wo sie mit ihren ersten beiden Veröffentlichungen „Lord Of Earth And Heavens Heir“ und „Defenders Of The Crown“ aufgehört hatten.
Zu „Wasted Years“ wurde, pünktlich zur Veröffentlichung von “Raided Land”, jetzt ein Videoclip online gestellt.

SINBREED signs with AFM Records!

Their debut album "When Worlds Collide" SINBREED caused quite a stir in the scene already with their Melodic Speed Metal that comes across without keyboards, but with strong choruses and balls.

The band has now signed a contract with AFM Records and will release their second album next year. Blind Guardian guitarist Marcus Siepen has also joined the group’s ranks.

Guitarist Flo Laurin comments:
"We are really excited to work with AFM. Now that we've got the new line-up ready and the new record is in the making, we are looking forward to work with such a strong and experienced partner who is deep-seated in the metal scene. Great things to come."

EVERGREY unterschreiben bei AFM! AFM Records ist hoch erfreut, das Signing der schwedischen Metaller EVERGREY bekanntgeben zu können. Die Band um den charismatischen Frontmann Tom S. Englund zählt durch ihren unverwechselbaren Sound zu den prägendsten Metal-Bands, die in den letzten zwei Jahrzehnten die Szene bereichert haben. Derzeit arbeiten EVERGREY an einem neuen Album, das in der zweiten Jahreshälfte erscheinen wird. 2014 wird definitiv ein ereignisreiches Jahr für alle Fans der schwedischen Ausnahmeband. January 27th, Division two studios, Sweden "I am sitting here in what feels like the black heart of distorted guitars and heavy drums trying to sort what material to be chosen for the new Evergrey album that will be brought to you by our new record label AFM! While the music might be the most contemplated and dark pieces we have written -and while the sheer amount of music we have the pleasure to choose from is more than ever, we are super psyched and pleased to have chosen a label that believes in Evergrey!                                      AFM are certain that we have a lot more to contribute to the world of music and we can promise you that they are right. On top of that it is about damn time that our fans get some new and fresh metal! While we at this moment are hindered to speak about the new members - this will be totally understandable when we announce it - they are known to some people and some might never have heard of them B U T we can tell you that they are as excited as the rest of us and have already brought in 50% of the material written so this album will be a 100% band effort! We will release 2 singles 1 complemented with a video produced by our bud Patric Ullaeus and Revolver.se. We will also film our every step of the recording process for you to enjoy at a continuous and steady pace on our different social media channels making this the most accessible album we have made to date. We will also arrange interviews with each and every member during the recording process together with some really cool ideas for the booklet of the CD itself - more on this soon! The album will be recorded in a few different studios and mixed in Denmark at Hansen studios by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Epysode, Pretty Maids, Doro and more). We are currently planning some cool release shows for different territories and honestly can´t wait for YOU to hear our music, as we are thrilled, more than pleased and stoked with what we come up with! And oh, yeah, the title is also set and will be revealed soon! Watch out for A LOT more from us! KISSIN‘ DYNAMITE announce album title and tour dates! Young German rockers KISSIN‘ DYNAMITE have revealed the title of their upcoming new album, which will be released this Summer: „Megalomania“. 21OCTAYNE signs with AFM! AFM Records proudly present the newest addition to its roster: 21OCTAYNE, a fantastic new Rock act feat. members of Joe Perry band, Rhapsody, Axxis and Paul Gilbert, will release its debut album "Into The Open" on May 23rd! 21OCTAYNE is the epitome of soulful, honest, ass-kicking Rock with a slight modern touch. A new name, a new band, but no unknowns here: the band consists of vocalist Hagen Grohe (The Joe Perry Project), Marco Wriedt (Axxis), Andrew „The Bullet“ Lauer (Paul Gilbert) and drummer Alex Landenburg (Rhapsody). The four guys took their time and worked hard on their debut album for more than two years, ready for impact now! Meanwhile the young band scored first success by releasing a digital single for “The Heart (Save Me)” which went (without any kind of promotion) straight to #1 in Amazon Germany’s hard rock/metal chart and also appeared on the U.S. Itunes chart! This good start for 21OCTAYNE might be caused by several factors, one being vocalist Hagen Grohe who leads the band’s U.S.-influenced Rock to international level. A quality that guitar icon Joe Perry (Aerosmith) realized quickly as well, so he made Grohe the vocalist of the Joe Perry Project. And he was not disappointed by the young German who convinced on album recordings and numerous live shows playing after in support of the release. Also guitarist Marco Wriedt (Axxis), bass player Andrew „The Bullet“ Lauer (Paul Gilbert) and drummer Alex Landenburg (Rhapsody) have gathered quite a fan-following as musicians and songwriters over the years. Of course these fans quickly got excited when they heard about the new band 21OCTAYNE, so the band invited fans and interested journalists to “listening session”, presenting the first songs they had recorded. These intimate events quickly became 40-persons strong and saw the band playing acoustic sets even. Also the initial plan of doing one or 2 listening sessions in Germany only was change quickly because of the strong demand. And so 21OCTAYNE found themselves presenting their songs to people in a.o. London, Paris, Hollywood and Barcelona. First concerts were played in Europe, supporting  Pink Cream 69 and Germany chart band Ohrenfeindt, with offer now coming in from big festivals. 2014 will be a great year for Rock fans and there’s no hiding from this awesome new band - 21OCTAYNE! Italian folk power metallers ELVENKING have unveiled the cover artwork of their upcoming album “The Pagan Manifesto”, which will be released on May 9th. Also, the band has announced that Amanda Somerville (Avantasia, Kiske/Somerville) has contributed guest vocals to a 13-minute track that will be featured on the album. Hier fand sich eine richtige Band zusammen, die sich zwei Jahre Zeit nahm, ein Debütalbum zu kreieren, das für Aufsehen sorgen wird. Bereits die in 2013 in Eigenregie veröffentlichte Single „The Heart (Save Me)“ schaffte es ohne große Promotion auf Platz 1 der Amazon Hard Rock/Metal MP3 Charts und tauchte sogar in den U.S. ITunes Charts auf! Diese Popularität verdanken 21OCTAYNE gleich mehreren Faktoren: mit Hagen Grohe hat man einen erstklassigen Frontmann vorzuweisen, der dem amerikanisch gefärbten Rock-Sound internationales Format verleiht. Und diese fragten unablässig nach der neuen Band, daher luden 21OCTAYNE seit über einem Jahr immer wieder Fans und interessierte Medienvertreter zu intimen Listening Sessions ein, wobei sich die anfangs als kleine Vorführung von einigen Songs geplanten Veranstaltungen zu Happenings mit gut 40 Personen (und kleinen Akustik-Sets der Band) auswuchsen. Und auch der anfängliche Plan, lediglich 1-2 Sessions in Deutschland zu veranstalten, musste aufgrund der großen Nachfrage schnell überworfen werden. Inzwischen haben 21OCTAYNE Listening Sessions ins London, Paris, Hollywood, Barcelona, München, Düsseldorf und vielen weiteren deutschen Städten abgehalten. Und was macht eine richtige Band noch? Genau: spielen! Einige Gigs mit Pink Cream 69 und Ohrenfeindt sind absolviert, die Frankfurter Musikmesse kommt in diesem Jahr in den Genuss von 21OCTAYNE live und auch große Festivals sind in Verhandlungen oder bereits bestätigt (z.B.
