Sixx: A.M.'s James Michael recently posted a preview of his new solo
track 'Learn To Hate You'. In addition, the band released the official
video for 'Are You With Me Now' earlier this year, which was featured on
Sixx Sense as part of the City Of Hope radio-thon. Check both clips out

NIKKI SIXX Issues SIXX: A.M. Update - "We're Really Finally At Work On Our Third Album"




MÖTLEY CRÜE / SIXX: A.M. bassist NIKKI SIXX has checked in with the following update:


"Spent the morning at the Schecter factory choosing colors for my
new bass for Mötley's Australian tour.We went with vintage white,
tobacco sunburst, metallic red and satin black to start. Thank you for
your input.


The rest of the day and night was spent at home writing new Sixx:
A.M.music with James Michael. We're really finally at work on our third
album. We do have a name for the album but I assume it will probably
change (like most of the music)....


More music tomorrow..."





At this year's NAMM convention, Sixx unveiled a new signature bass
line through Schecter Guitar Research. The bass is appropriately called
the "SIXX" bass guitar.


In support of this new bass, Nikki made an appearance at NAMM,
meeting his fans and signing autographs at the Schecter booth. After
meeting his fans, Nikki sat down with BackstageAxxess and other outlets to talk about the new bass and how it came to fruition.





Says BackstageAxxess: "In addition to this question, BackstageAxxess
asked Nikki about the switch from his longtime company, Gibson, to
Schecter. We also talked about his best selling book Heroin Diaries
becoming a Broadway play and the future of both Mötley Crüe and Sixx:
A.M. Plus, we dove into his success with his current radio show Sixx
Sense which will be celebrating its third anniversary soon. Lastly we
asked how he balances out his current daily schedule. There were
additional questions being asked by other outlets but as you will see,
BackstageAxxess covered all the bases within the limited time we had.
However, we thought our readers would like the full, unedited version of
the conversation with Nikki so we decided to include the entire audio

New SIXX:A.M. Album To Be "A Sick F*%kin' Record"




"I love technology..." states SIXX:A.M.vocalist James Michael. "Nikki
(Sixx) is in Australia recording bass and I'm in Nashville recording
vocals and we're making a sick f*%kin' Sixx:A.M. record! Not even a
couple of oceans are gonna get in the way of this! Are you ready?"





Over the weekend, Sixx checked in himself: "Stayed up late last
night playing bass and guitar. Just enjoying myself a 'little middle of
the night' piece and quite with no phone calls or emails interrupting.
James (Michael) sent through another track from the new Sixx:A.M. album
for me to track bass on, so that’s what I am up to for the next few
hours. As beautiful as it is outside here in Adelaide today I think I’m
just gonna hang in the room, finish off this song and then send to it
James to lay into the session back in Nashville. The way Sixx:A.M. is
recording this album is we all get together and write the songs face to
face and then record it in pieces. Sometimes we’re together and
sometimes we’re in separate towns (and countries) since none of us live
in the same city. It’s really the best of both worlds creatively. This
album is another leap into the adventurous and to be honest I don’t
think any of us know what this album will actually end up sounding like
and for some odd reason I think we really like the idea of that. I hope
we can to find the time and a way for us to tour behind this album.

SIXX:A.M. - "Now The Hard Part"




SIXX:A.M. has issued the following update in regard to their forthcoming, as yet untitled third album:


"We have so many songs written. Now the hard part, putting it all
together. So far this is the best songs we have written as a band and on
so many levels extremely adventurous... James (Michael, vocalist) has
the dirty task of producing this monster... God bless him..."





While James works away in the studio, bassist Nikki Sixx will hit
the road for a North American tour with MÖTLEY CRÜE beginning April 20th

SIXX:A.M. - New Album Nearing Completion: "We Have Topped Ourselves"

Nikki Sixx, MÖTLEY CRÜE / SIXX:A.M. bassist and host of the syndicated radio show Sixx Sense, has issued the following update on the forthcoming Sixx:A.M. album:

"James has been with DJ in Vegas recording guitars on the new Sixx:A.M. album. We have a little ways to go to finish off the whole album but we're zeroing in on what the first single will be. It's not gonna be easy. I am so proud of this album from the ground up. These songs are very unique. James, DJ and myself feel we have topped ourselves but in the end you will be the ones who make that decision.

We have agreed on the album title and the artwork direction. Photo sessions, videos, going over album cover concepts and mapping out release dates are all hovering above our heads now. The excitement is growing and things looks great for us to play live at some point."



Sixx recently issued the following message to the fans:

"As an artist, I have really been riding a creative high lately. In the end I believe I was put on earth to create (anything and everything). I feel like I am in my zone lately. It's not easy to keep it up day after day, month after month and year after year but you soldier on. Eventually, if you've fallen out of your groove, you always find your way back home and if you focus hard enough on what you want to achieve, you will be even better at it than you were before. I see a lot of young artist's flame out so fast and I have to say the biggest secret to long term success (in any field) is to just keep doing it over and over and don't give up. Never quit. The crazy-makers and the naysayers will do there best to drag you down but only if YOU let them. 'Use them as motivation.'

So much exciting stuff coming up for Motley Crue, Sixx:A.M, Sixx Sense Radio and the Heroin Diaries broadway play.

It's all about forward progress and not perfection, just keep keeping on.
