JETHRO TULL's Ian Anderson Talks Zombies In August Classic Rock & Metal Podcast JETHRO TULL's Ian Anderson talked about his son-in-law, actor Andrew
Lincoln (This Life, Teachers) and his role as the lead character and
zombie slayer in the worldwide hit TV series The Walking Dead in a
recent episode of the Classic Rock & Metal Podcast.
"It's a huge thing. There's a lot on his shoulders...six months away
from home, taking his family with him it's a tough ride but some people
will do anything to blow the heads off zombies! Andy, in spite of his
more thespian leanings and RADA training actually really enjoys the
challenge of the role....The zombies are incidental, they're a vehicle.
They are there in order to give a completely implausible
scenario....Really what it's about is a lot of little morality tales of
people having to work together. So it's a series of little life lessons.
The Walking Dead is actually a much more intelligent production than
perhaps would be obvious to people just hearing about it."
Anderson was on the show discussing his current tour performing
Jethro Tull's 1973 concept album Thick As A Brick and his 2012 follow-up
release, Thick As A Brick 2.
