DAVID T. CHASTAIN - Three New Compilation Albums Now Available CHASTAIN guitarist/founder
David T. Chastain has released three
compilation albums - Progressive Metal Axiom, Fusion Delusion, and
Neoclassical Compositions No. 1 - via his own label, Leviathan Records.
He has issued the following statement:
"Throughout my career I have been
'patted on the back' for having
diverse styles on my instrumental albums. At this point in time, I have
decided to group similar styled tracks from my previous releases to give
a more unified front. I think they work quite well this way. While I
certainly don't regret
making my previous albums varied within themselves, I believe these three releases present a stronger vision of my music."
Progressive Metal Axiom: These tracks were culled from David's
instrumental releases through the years and offers up a full CD of
nothing but progressive metal. This release showcases his original
creativity and well as his guitar prowess. A must for all fans of
progressive metal.
Fusion Delusion: A collection o
f David T. Chastain's fusion
influenced instrumental tracks. Guitar For The Practicing Musician:
"It's a full blown jazz/
rock album in the mold of Return To Forever, Allan Holdsworth and
the Mahavishnu Orchestra, with superlative progressive work from
Chastain."
Neoclassical Compositions No. 1: This collection of neoclassical
influenced tracks from David T. Chastain is impressive and original.
These tracks were taken from David's vast catalog of instrumental
releases. Included are two bonus tracks never before available on
Leviathan Records. David has been
favorably compared to all of the great guitarist of the
"Neoclassical golden era" of the late '80s and early '90s. His
Instrumental Variations CD is considered one of the best ever of the
genre."
