BON JOVI's Jon Bon Jovi On Band's Rift With Richie Sambora - "We Love Him Very Much... He's Still A Member Of The Band" Appearing this morning (Tuesday, April 23rd) on The Ellen Degeneres
Show,
BON JOVI frontman Jon Bon Jovi addressed the ongoing rift with
guitarist
Richie Sambora, which currently has Sambora sitting out the
band's world tour.
Ellen gave Jon the opportunity to explain the situation, and he
briefly stated: "It's a personal matter. We love him very much. He's
still a member of the band."
Earlier this month, TMZ reported that "guitarist Richie Sambora is
bailing on the Bon Jovi world tour because of 'personal issues,' but it
has nothing to do with substance abuse... it's all about a war that's
exploded between Jon and Richie."
Apparently, "sources directly connected t
o Bon Jovi tell TMZ...
tensions between Jon and Richie have been running high for years and
it's finally erupted. One source tells them, 'It's a classic
Jagger/Richards blowup'.
Their sources go on to say part of the problem is that Jon
constantly belittles Richie. But there's another part of the problem -
they're fighting over money."
Further details can be found at TMZ.
The current leg of the tour is scheduled to end April 25th in San Jose, CA. Bon Jovi's complete live itinerary can be found here.
