SWEDISH' CONFIDENCE REVEALS DETAILS FIRST RELEASE!

The
Swedish rockers from CONFIDENCE have presented themselves a month
ago through the popular social media outlets to the rock/metal fans and
today it’s time to launch the band officially for the worldwide media as
well, as finally lots of details about the first release can be
revealed.

CONFIDENCE will release their first digital release “PRELUDE” on May 23, 2012 through all popular download platforms.

Track List “PRELUDE”:

1. Flesh and Skin (full version uploaded on YouTube for streaming)
2. War Torn Skies
3. Never Meant To Be
4. Poison Lies

This 4-track release is presented as a “digital release” and not as an EP.

Lead singer Emil Kyrk about the concept behind the band concerning releases : “It
is a new world we live in, the old world of record companies, album
releases and CD’s are dying. Internet has effectively worn down the old
dinosaurs in the music industry, it's time to embrace the new technology
instead of trying to get the old days back.

This
is the reason why CONFIDENCE will not release our material on a
traditional label or on physical media. Instead, we will use the digital
channels that exists today. And why release a full length album where
half of the songs are poorly produced because of the very slim budget
todays record companies can offer, when you can release songs whenever you want, when they are done, through digital channels ?

As
with our music, we will go our own way as it comes to releasing songs.
Each digital release will contain four or five songs, with at least two
releases a year. Our fans will always be able to enjoy new and fresh
CONFIDENCE songs.”

The band has already uploaded a serie of YouTube clips to back up the concept of the band in a visual way :

- Lead singer Emil Kyrk introduces the band and you get a first insight in the concept of the band

- The concept behind the song Flesh and Skin is introduced.

The
band will keep uploading YouTube clips on a very regular base, as there
is a lot to tell about the concept of the band and the stories behind
the songs. This upcoming Friday you can expect a sample of the song
“Never Meant To Be” and the introduction for that song.

CONFIDENCE
was born from the remnants of ideas, songs and bands which never really
got to spread their wings. When they started things off in a studio
somewhere in
Sweden, they didn't know what would come out of it, but they had a
vision of making something passionate, true and beautiful.

They
had all seen the decay or the Rock and Metal scene, the repetition of
well-tried concepts and song-writing. Endless repetition, one album
after another with a plastic soul-less sound and the somewhat peculiar
idea that if you sound exactly like the bands that actually made it,
there would be a golden record deal and fame in return.

With
this in mind, they started to create their music and sound, trying to
capture the emotion and feelings of each concept that came to them.
Lyrics and vocals were written with the sole intention to enhance the
concept and emotion of the songs, and music was written to enhance the
vocals and lyrics. When recording, takes were selected because they said
something, not because they were perfectly performed.

It took them almost 3 years, members came and members left, but now they finally are ready for the world.

mastering was in the hands of the legendary producer DAVE CHANG ( Orange Goblin and Stampin' Ground a.o.).

The
idea behind the mastermind Sympho Metal project PHOBOS CORP. started
when Spyros Papadakis was 15 years old. New bands and new sounds were
discovered through the traditional heavy metal bands and of being an
avid fan of film soundtracks from Hans Zimmer (his biggest influence),
Vangelis, Danny Elfman and Basil Poledouris, but admiring also more
contemporary artists such as Yanni, Brian Eno and Kitaro, the idea was
slowly growing for a personal project that combined different musical
elements together - a sort of amalgamation of various genres and styles.

Spyros Papadakis about the idea behind this project: “ Phobos
Corp. is without a doubt a project and that's because, I want to have
complete artistic and creative freedom in terms of the music I compose.
Having said that, it doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to complete a
default line-up for recording and, mainly, touring purposes, because I
would like to take this project on the road as much as possible.

I
am very confident for the future, having already completed more than a
few song demos - so I do have a large pool of songs to choose from
regarding future releases. Then again, the important thing for me, is to
continue composing more and more songs and to try and become better as a
composer, as a musician and as a lyricist. I have started
writing for a new EP, which if all goes well, will be released by the
end of the year. This time, I will be "flirting" more with darker
melodies. "

Outshine from Sweden part ways with vocalist Erlend Jegstad.

Dark Metal/Rock band OUTSHINE has issued the following statement :

"For
quite some time there has been internal issues regarding the ambition,
time, economy and overall direction of what Outshine should aim for in
the future. This has now come to a point where we can´t collaborate any
more."

"Outshine:
- We´ve been playing together for 7 years and have had some really
great moments. The albums and tours has been amazing to do but now this
all has come to an end. In order for Outshine to rather go forward than
backwards this break-up is needed. We wish E.J. the best and hope
everything goes well for him."

The
band, that will continue as a three-piece, is now in discussions with
labels Rambo/Gain and Swedish (Dead Tree Music), Dutch (Metal Revelation
/ Marjo Verdooren) and American management (Indie 500 / Cameron
Kellenberger) on how the band will continue with the release of the new
album "Addiction".

"Outshine:
- We are focusing on putting together a plan on how we should continue
with everything. It´s sad that we´ve ended up like this but we love
playing music, we love playing in Outshine and we want to continue to

CONFIDENCE ANNOUNCES NEW DRUMMER !

The Swedish rockers from CONFIDENCE have just issued a statement about their new drummer:

"We're
very happy we can announce today our new drummer IMRE DAUN ! In the
short period he has been with us, he has showed a tremendous amount of
dedication and it's a priviledge to work with such an experienced and
great guy !"

Keyboard player Clas Sjöstrand on Imre Daun : "I
know Imre for a very long time, as we are both part of the music
industry since forever. Imre is mostly known for his work with Don
Patrol, a band I was part of as well and he did 2 records with them, as
well as being support for David Lee Roth. Imre has done so many
studio-jobs over the years, as well as playing in well-known cover
bands, but he always wanted to play original music again if he would
find the right band. The guy is famous for his drum-sound, he hits those
drums so incredibly hard !!!! I always wanted to play with Imre in one
band again and when we were looking for a drummer I had to call him and
fill him in about CONFIDENCE. Well, the result is that we did a
jam-session in our rehearsel room and now Imre has recorded already the 4
songs for the new release and that feels awesome ! There are so many
things I could tell about this great guy, he is The Man, The Myth !

CONFIDENCE on the departure of former drummer Janne Jaloma : "
We knew from the beginning that Janne is extremely busy as well with
his other band and we understand that it is impossible for him to keep
up with two busy schedules. We want to thank Janne for his hard work for
CONFIDENCE and wish him all the best. For sure all of us will remain
friends !"

About the future of CONFIDENCE: "As
Imre fitted in so perfectly, we have no delays with recording the 2nd
release, which is scheduled for an tentative October date. In fact, Imre
conquered the studio already and nailed the 4 songs down in one day !
Last weekend, guitar-recordings were almost completed as well, so
we can surely say that all is going well in the recording-studio. We're
also busy with scheduling the first live-gigs, so make sure to keep an
eye on us !

2nd release today. After the great success of their debut album
"Prelude", the band is ready for the next step and follows a tight
schedule of 2 releases a year.

artwork is once again from the hands of Merlijn Zeeders from Blacklake
Design, who was also responsible for the "Prelude" artwork.

Last week, it was already announced that the band tapped KEVIN CHURKO to mix the "SEEDS" release. Kevin Churko is a
Canadian record producer/engineer and songwriter that has worked for
some of the world's biggest names including Ozzy Osbourne, Shania Twain,
Ringo Starr, Five Finger Death Punch, Hinder, In This Moment, Britney
Spears and many more. He currently lives in Las Vegas where he works out
of his private studio "The Hideout" on Las Vegas Blvd, where also the
new CONFIDENCE songs have been mixed.

CONFIDENCE TAPS KEVIN CHURKO TO MIX NEXT RELEASE !

The Swedish rockers from CONFIDENCE have just issued the following statement :

"Proudly, we announce that for our upcoming release, we have decided to work with KEVIN CHURKO for mixing the songs ! Kevin is a
Canadian record producer/engineer and songwriter that has worked for
some of the world's biggest names including Ozzy Osbourne, Shania Twain,
Ringo Starr, Five Finger Death Punch, Hinder, In This Moment, Britney
Spears and many more. He currently lives in Las Vegas where he works out
of his private studio "The Hideout" on Las Vegas Blvd, where also the
new CONFIDENCE songs have been mixed".

Clas Sjöstrand (who was responsible for the mix on the band's first release) on KEVIN CHURKO: "Why
I took the decision to engage Kevin Churko? I have always admired and
still am a big fan of Ozzy's music and the sound in particular. As the
recordings came to the point where a decision had to be made who would
do the mixing, the choice was Kevin Churko. I really wanted to know what
would happen when a huge industry giant mixed our music, what would
come out of the speakers and what sound a guy like this could create as
an outsider who never heard us before. After hearing the mixes ... I
rest my case .. it is so good. For the first time in my life I really
enjoyed listening to myself in a band that I really care a lot for."

CONFIDENCE
released their debut "PRELUDE" on May 23, 2012 and are releasing their
albums through digital channels only with a schedule of 2 releases a
year. The next release is scheduled for November 2012 and all

CRITICAL SOLUTION Taps ANDY LA ROCQUE For Upcoming Full-Lenght !

The
Norwegian Thrash Metallers from CRITICAL SOLUTION will enter next
week the SONIC TRAIN STUDIOS in Varberg, Sweden to work again with KING
DIAMOND guitarist ANDY LA ROCQUE for their upcoming full-lenght release.

Mid 2011,
the band worked already with Andy La Rocque, when he produced and mixed
their EP "Evidence of Things Unseen" and delivered a guest appearance
on this album where he was featured doing a guitar solo on the Metallica
cover "Seek and Destroy".

Also this time, Andy La Rocque will be responsible for the production and the mixing of this new release.

Vocalist/Lead Guitarist Christer Slettebø on working again with ANDY LA ROCQUE: "Last
time we worked with Andy was absolutely amazing, like every other time
we worked together! He welcomed us with open arms after listening to a
shitty demo tape, but he saw something in us and then made us better
than we could ever imagine. Andy brings out the best in us! He takes
ideas to the table and we have that chemistry only a few can have.
People can expect a punch-in-the-face album. Old school thrash, fast as
hell! Guests appearances will be including La Rocque himself. The
chemistry within the band can be felt in the songs and it's tight as
hell! The band is better than ever before. We will keep you updated
about all progress on our social media sites, so stay tuned for some
thrashing news !"

The new album has a tentative release date of mid 2013.

CRITICAL SOLUTION Reveals Full Details Debut Album !

Last
week, the Norwegian Thrash Metallers from CRITICAL SOLUTION announced
the special appearances of Whitfield Crane (Ugly Kid Joe) and Andy La
Rocque (King Diamond) on their upcoming album. This week, the band reveals the full details for this debut full-lenght.

CRITICAL SOLUTION's debut CD is titled "EVIL NEVER DIES" and the release date has been set for May 16, 2013 !

This debut full-lenght is a concept album and tells the story of Wallace Green: Wallace
and his company are sailing to Sad Hill, where he assasinates the king,
with his own life to follow. After Wallace's death, he makes a deal
with the devil to live again and becomes the Soulmaker. He does his evil
agenda and spreads terror across the world ....

The band recorded again in ANDY LA ROCQUE's SONIC TRAIN STUDIOS in Varberg, Sweden. Mid 2011, the band worked already with Andy La Rocque, when he produced and mixed their EP "Evidence of Things Unseen". Also, this time, Andy La Rocque is responsible for the production, recording, mixing and mastering of this album.

Vocalist/Guitarist Christer Slettebø about the whole experience: "To
release this album is absolutely amazing! One of many dreams is coming
true for us. Also to be so honored to have both Whitfield Crane and Andy
LaRocque on the album as guests, well its fuckin' rad! So it is great
to finally get the album out and we hope people will like it!"

CRITICAL SOLUTION Reveals SINGLE, LYRIC VIDEO !

The Norwegian Thrashers from CRITICAL SOLUTION have released today the single from their upcoming album.

CRITICAL SOLUTION's debut CD is titled "EVIL NEVER DIES" and the release date has been set for May 16, 2013 !

This debut full-lenght is a concept album and tells the story of Wallace Green: Wallace
and his company are sailing to Sad Hill, where he assasinates the king,
with his own life to follow. After Wallace's death, he makes a deal
with the devil to live again and becomes the Soulmaker. He does his evil
agenda and spreads terror across the world ....

The band recorded again in ANDY LA ROCQUE's SONIC TRAIN STUDIOS in Varberg, Sweden. Mid 2011, the band worked already with Andy La Rocque, when he produced and mixed their EP "Evidence of Things Unseen". Also, this time, Andy La Rocque is responsible for the production, recording, mixing and mastering of this album.

Vocalist/Guitarist Christer Slettebø about the whole experience: "To
release this album is absolutely amazing! One of many dreams is coming
true for us. Also to be so honored to have both Whitfield Crane and Andy
LaRocque on the album as guests, well its fuckin' rad! So it is great
to finally get the album out and we hope people will like it!"

PEGAZUS Introduces New Vocalist !

The Australian Heavy Metal outfit PEGAZUS have announced today that they proudly introduce their new vocalist AXEL WINTER
to the Metal community. Axel will replace Justin Fleming, who could be
heard on the debut album and the latest release “In Metal We Trust.

Guitarist and founding member Johnny Stoj about the singer-switch: “Although
we are laid back Australian guys, we have always approached our music
with 100% dedication, passion and loyalty. Heavy Metal music and our
fans deserve nothing less than that. This has always been like this for
us and that will never change.

When you are in a band, you have lots of commitments: you have to give
100% on and off stage, you have to keep improving yourself as a
recording artist and entertainer, you have financial responsibilities,
you have to be loyal to your band mates and of course the fans, you have
to be available for the band on all occasions ... I’m very thankfull
that we have found this all back again in Axel. He came on our path, we
have been rehearsing and he fitted like a glove”.

Stoj about the near future : “We were already working on our next
album and this process will only go faster now. So, you can expect new
music and lots of touring. We are fired up, ready to go and the world
will meet the Thunder From Down Under again very soon !”
