IRON MAIDEN: FLIGHT 666 - Le film Empty
MessageSujet: IRON MAIDEN: FLIGHT 666 - Le film    IRON MAIDEN: FLIGHT 666 - Le film Icon_minitimeDim 10 Juin - 20:32

IRON MAIDEN: FLIGHT 666 - Le film Ed_force_one

IRON MAIDEN: FLIGHT 666 - Le film Bruce_in_cockpit

RON MAIDEN - Teaser Clip For 'Flight 666' Movie Available

IRON MAIDEN: FLIGHT 666 - Le film 105186

As reported yesterday (January 20th) in a press release delivered to BraveWords.com, British heavy rock legends, IRON MAIDEN,
in association with EMI Records, Universal (USA), Banger Productions
and Arts Alliance Media, announce that they will be releasing a feature
length documentary film IRON MAIDEN: FLIGHT 666 - Le film Mag-glass_10x10 into cinemas worldwide on April 21st, 2009.

Entitled Iron Maiden: Flight 666,
the movie follows the band on the first leg of their Somewhere Back In
Time World Tour in February and March of 2008 as they experienced the
most ambitious and adventurous tour in rock history.

A teaser clip has now been posted online, and can be viewed below....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r113duF0SXE&eurl=http://www.bravewords.com/news/105186

The
Maiden tour plan was something that had never been attempted before on
such a grand scale. Circumnavigating the globe, the band flew in a
specially customized Boeing 757 airliner with their crew and 12 tons of
music and stage equipment on board, playing 23 sold out stadium and
arena shows in Asia, Australia and North, Central and South America in
just 45 days. They played in 13 countries, also landing in Azerbaijan
and Papua New Guinea en route for fuel stops, traveling 70,000km and
performing to almost half a million fans – a schedule that was only made
possible by having their own “magic carpet” enabling them to go where
they wanted with all the key elements of band, crew and equipment on
board one plane, which was christened Ed Force One. Even more remarkable
was that lead singer and Airline Captain Bruce Dickinson was not only
to perform 23 shows, but he was also the pilot flying the plane for much
of the way.

The band were accompanied everywhere by award
winning documentary makers Banger Productions from Toronto, Canada, who
have received international critical acclaim for their previous movies
Metal, A Headbangers Journey and recently Global Metal. Filmmakers Scot
McFadyen and Sam Dunn and their team bring an intimate behind the scenes
view of this remarkable journey, with a close look at the logistics
involved and following Team Maiden in the cockpit, on the plane and on
and offstage, getting to the heart of this innovative global adventure
of a band that has very rarely even let cameras backstage before.

Shot
in High Definition, the movie will be screened in 2K digital cinema,
with superb 5.1 surround sound, mixed by the bands producer Kevin
'Caveman' Shirley. Iron Maiden: Flight 666 brings to the screen all the
drama, excitement and hysteria that followed the band around the world
every time their Boeing 757 'Ed Force One' touched down in a new
country. The film documents the intensity of the punishing show
schedules, the struggle with the time zones, the pressures of ensuring
that every performance matched the energy of the many thousands of
ecstatic and expectant fans from many cultural backgrounds, unusual
angles from the spectacular shows......and of course the fun had on the
way!.

Iron Maiden: Flight 666 is an honest and revealing
portrait of one of the worlds most successful rock bands, a must see for
their millions of fans around the world and anyone else with an
interest in Rock Music and World Tours, giving an inspirational account
of the chaotic and often humorous world of a band touring the four
corners of the world in the most extraordinary way.

Participating cinemas will be announced shortly.

Rock legends Iron Maiden have confirmed that the
final show ever of their massive 'Somewhere Back in Time World Tour 2008
-- 9' will be in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on the 2nd of April at the
BankAtlantic Center. This, the band's first show in Florida for 13
years, will definitely be the last show of one of the most ambitious
rock tours ever undertaken and promises to be a big party night for both
the band and audience.

Says drummer and local Florida resident
Nicko McBrain; "We'll be arriving right in the middle of Spring Break so
this really promises to be a huge party for everyone and I'm sure there
will be more than a few sore heads in Fort Lauderdale the following
day! The whole tour has been an amazing experience and this final leg
back on Ed Force One promises to be crazier than ever!.

"It was
quite something to bring to reality the mad idea of creating a flying
tour bus out of a Boeing 757 but it's enabled us to go further to reach
many fans in countries we have never played before and also revisit fans
where we haven't seen for some time, and it's a long time since we
played in Florida! The 757 truly has been our 'magic carpet' as Bruce
describes it.

"Luckily for me the magic carpet is stopping not
far from my front door which is very handy and nice way to finish this
tour. Not far to stagger home!!"

Having sold out the Palmeiras Football Stadium a year ago we are going
back again to play in the Interlagos Grand Prix circuit where last year
Lewis Hamilton won the Formula One Championship. With over 40,000

IRON MAIDEN - Flight 666 Coming To Selected Theatres Across Canada On May 5th

BraveWords.com has received the following press release:

The award winning film IRON MAIDEN: Flight 666 is coming to selected theatres across Canada next week on May 5th for one night only. The movie is a full length documentary film IRON MAIDEN: FLIGHT 666 - Le film Mag-glass_10x10,
about the first leg of the band’s historic Somewhere Back In Time World
Tour in February and March of 2008, considered to be the most ambitious
and adventurous tour in rock history, and is a revealing portrait of
one of the world’s most successful rock bands and an inspirational and
often humorous account of the chaotic world of a band on tour.

The
film was released worldwide on April 21st, in over 500 theatres in 42
countries, and now due to the phenomenal media and fan reaction and
demand after six packed theatres across Canada on Maiden Day, fans in
Canada are getting another chance to see Flight 666 in pristine digital
cinema quality, with high impact 5.1 surround sound, mixed by the band’s
producer Kevin 'Caveman' Shirley.

The film is produced by
award-winning Banger Productions, based in Toronto, Canada, who have
received international critical acclaim for their previous movies,
Global Metal and Metal: A Headbangers Journey. Filmmakers Scot McFadyen,
Sam Dunn and their team bring a behind-the-scenes view of this
remarkable journey, with a close look at the logistics involved and Team
Maiden in the cockpit, on the plane, on and offstage. The band has
rarely let cameras backstage before.

Circumnavigating the globe
in just 45 days, the band flew in a specially customized Boeing 757
airliner, piloted by lead singer Bruce Dickinson, with the entire tour
crew and 12 tons of music and stage equipment on board, to 23 sold out
stadium and arena shows in Asia, Australia and North, Central and South
America. The band played in 13 countries, also landing in Azerbaijan and

performing to almost half a million fans – a schedule that was only made
possible by having their own “magic carpet” which enabled them to go
where they wanted with all the key elements of band, crew and equipment
on board one plane, christened Ed Force One.

Iron Maiden’s
Manager, Rod Smallwood commented, “This film is a testament to an
extraordinary tour and to our incredible fans all over the world. Seeing
it on the big screen will make you feel like you were there, on that
spectacular journey.”

Taking you on a visual global tour from
Mumbai to Sydney, Tokyo to L.A., Mexico City to Costa Rica, Bogota to
Sao Paulo, Buenos Aires and Santiago to New York and Toronto and places
in-between, you travel with the band and crew on the plane, to and from
shows, in the bar and during leisure time, while experiencing the
exhaustion and fan pandemonium that comes with such a mission. The
documentary also contains some of the most spectacular live footage yet
seen of the band. Iron Maiden: Flight 666 won the prestigious SXSW Film
Festival Award for Best Music Documentary earlier this year.
