STUART SMITH QUITS SWEET - NEW HEAVEN AND EARTH ALBUM NEARS:

Stuart Smith has quit as lead guitarist for Sweet. Says Smith, "There
is no animosity. It's been a fun four years but the new Heaven &
Earth album is becoming a huge undertaking with a lot of people involved
and I feel I need to give it 100% of my time. I wish all the guys the
very best and all the luck in the future."
The artwork for the new Heaven & Earth album, which along with Smith features Joe Retta on vocals, Chuck Wright on bass, Richie Onori on drums and Arlan Schierbaum on keyboards, is being produced by legendary rock photographer Glen Wexler who has produced over 300 album covers for bands including Black Sabbath and Van Halen.
