CANNON from Hanover, Germany were founded in 1986 consisting of Mat Rein Jaehnke (vocals), Walter Mueller (guitars), Steve Carrington (bass), Oliver Krueger (lead guitars) and Mats Toralf (drums).
The band’s debut album „Thunder And Lightning“ was released in April 1988. A great deal for the 2nd album with a major label was unfortunately cancelled close before the signing in 1989. CANNON nevertheless started the production of this record on a self-financed basis in 1991. Unfortunately the tapes with the still unfinished record were stolen. In 1994, the band recorded a 7 track demo tape and re-issued the sought after “Thunder And Lightning” album on tape. These tapes massively sold at the band’s live shows. The beginning of the end for the band though was the departure of drummer Mats Toralf in 1994. After a long, unsuccessful search for a proper replacement, singer Mat Rein Jaehnke also decided to quit the band in October 1996. Soon afterwards, CANNON split off completely.
The band reunited in September 2003 with four members of the original line-up. Drums though now were handled by original guitarist Walter Mueller (besides the guitar work) who originally had started to perform as a drummer. In November 2003, the band began to write and record new songs at Steve Carrington’s home studio. A double CD called “The History” containing the original “Thunder And Lightning” album and the unreleased “Timeriders” demo material was issued in late March 2004.
The new recordings were released under the name “Back In Business” in June 2005 in Europe and May 2006 in the US.
Twenty years after the original release the remastered “Thunder And Lightning” CD was released in the US. Shortly after this in September 2008, CANNON’s next new album “Metal Style” got its worldwide release.
In early 2012 CANNON was signed by the German record label meantime music, a subdivision of Yesterrock for their new record “Burning Love”. The release date was set for 07.09.2012.

Mat Rein Jaehnke - Vocals
Steve Carrington - Bass/Keyboards/Back. Vocals

The record is currently being finished and the band is looking forward to celebrate the first ever Lionville live performance on October 19th in Nottingham (UK) as the opener of this years Firefest.

Title: Khaøs - Khaøs Rising EP
Label: MarkRossi Records
Out: 29.10.2012
Format: digital release
Khaøs rising
Khaøs was born around the idea of making music without any kind of compromises in June 2012. The band name itself reveals the main musical target: to let creativity, musicality and energy flow, destroying barriers and breaking through obstacles. Music itself is the centerpiece of this work.
Four people, four cities, five stories
Khaøs is a project on a global scale, involving two continents, America and Europe and going possibly beyond. Their members have never actually played together in the same room. This came together thanks to the internet. It was an idea they wanted to put to the test.
Produced by Rolf Munkes at his Empire Studios in Germany, five songs with an unmistakable rocking vibe have arisen from the creative collaboration between Chandler Mogel (vocals, Outloud), Mark Rossi (guitars, Tribal), N I c Angileri (bass, Jorn) and Trevor Franklin (drums, Elis). The debut EP “Khaøs Rising” will be digitally released on October 29th 2012 and is conceived as warm-up for a full lenght.
This EP is taster of a bigger common work, a visiting card to awaken the interest of rock aficionados, a unique opportunity for labels to release a genuine product with international format and for the band to spread their music and extend their fan base world wide. 2013 will be the year of …Khaøs!
Line-up: Vocals: Chandler Mogel; Guitars: Mark Rossi; Bass: N I c Angileri; Drums: Trevor Franklin

Album: DARE – Calm Before The Storm 2
Label: Legend Records
Distribution: ADA/Warner
Out: 08.10.2012
Calm Before The Storm II is Dare's seventh studio album. Originally released ten years ago in Europe alone, Darren Wharton has since obtained the rights. The album has been completely re-recorded, and the new running order includes the previously unreleased tracks ‘Precious’ and 'Cold Wind Will Blow' . It is the album Darren always wanted to release.
Fronted by singer/songwriter Darren Wharton (who first rose to fame in the early eighties playing keyboards with legendary Irish rock band Thin Lizzy), DARE are one of the most respected and innovative melodic rock bands working today, gaining cult status among AOR fans throughout Europe, the UK and the world.
Darren joined Philip Lynott’s Thin Lizzy at the tender age of eighteen and enjoyed 5 great years with the band touring extensively, alongside renowned guitarist Scott Gorham, drummer Brian Downey, guitarists Snowy White (Pink Floyd), Gary Moore and John Sykes (Whitesnake). Working closely with Philip Lynott, Darren also recorded classic Thin Lizzy albums, such as ‘Chinatown’, ‘Renegade’, and ‘Thunder and Lightning’ on which Wharton co-wrote 3 songs, including the hit single ‘The Sun Goes Down’. Sadly, the latter was to be Thin Lizzy’s last studio album, and in 1986 Darren Wharton returned to his home town of Manchester where, as an outlet for his creative flare for song writing and working with young Oldham guitarist Vinny Burns, he formed his own band, DARE.
Darren re-joined Thin Lizzy two years ago and the band continues to tour extensively around the world to rapturous fans and huge audiences. The band recently completed a big tour of the USA and Europe with Judas Priest and recently supported Guns ‘n’ Roses in the UK as well as scores of major festival shows. Thin Lizzy are currently recording a brand new album and the band’s profile remains high.
Wharton’s style of songwriting - modern anthemic rock with Celtic overtones - coupled with the bands powerful live performances throughout Europe have gained Dare cult status on the British and European rock scenes. The band’s A&M debut album ‘Out Of The Silence’, recorded at Joni Mitchell’s Bel Air Studio Los Angeles, and produced by Nickelback producer Mike Shipley, is still widely regarded today as one of the all time great AOR albums.
Track listing:
1. Walk On The Water/ 2. Someday/ 3. Calm Before The Storm/ 4. Crown Of Thorns/ 5. Precious /6. Silence Of Your Head/ 7. Rescue Me/ 8. Ashes/ 9. Rising Sun /10. Cold Wind Will Blow/ 11. Deliverance

Dear press,
below you find the key information about the third release from Avenue Of Allies due on November 30th, 2012: the amazing debut album by the Swedish AOR band SAPPHIRE EYES.
The promotion for this release already has started and we’re currently taking interview requests for songwriter, keyboard player and producer Niclas Olsson (Alyson Avenue). Please contact us with your requests!
Release: Sapphire Eyes – s/t
Label: Avenue Of Allies
Release date: Nov 30th, 2012
SAPPHIRE EYES is the new AOR band of songwriter and keyboard player Niclas Olsson, well known for his female fronted Melodic Rock band Alyson Avenue and lead singer Thomas Bursell. Back in 2004 the two Swedish musicians already worked together in the Melodic Hard Rock band Second Heat.
For several years already Niclas had the idea for an AOR band with a male vocalist, it originally started when Alyson Avenue parted ways with vocalist Anette Olzon in 2006. But due to other projects, including the work on Alyson Avenue’s comeback album “Changes” with their new vocalist Arabella Vitanc, released in the spring of 2011 through Avenue Of Allies, the work on the male fronted AOR album was put on hold.
Over the years Niclas has written a lot of songs that didn’t seem to be the right choice for Alyson Avenue, so he kept them up his sleeve until he was working on a suitable recording project.
SAPPHIRE EYES is exactly the album Niclas was waiting for to dig out 10 AOR jewels from his song vault and to record them with a line-up of musical friends.
Niclas and Thomas, who recorded the vocals for seven album tracks, are joined by two other male Swedish singers, Mikael Erlandsson (Last Autumn's Dream, Salute) took over the lead vocals on two songs and Mike Andersson (Cloudscape) handles the vocal duties on one tune. The female vocal touch is added by the two Alyson Avenue front ladies, past and present, with Anette Olzon and Arabella Vitanc recording backing vocals for two songs each.
Guitar contributions on SAPPHIRE EYES come from Sven Larsson (Street Talk, Lionville), Rik Priem (Frozen Rain), Emil Knabe and part-time Alyson Avenue musician Christopher Dahlmann. With Mikey K Nilsson (Nasty Idols) on guitars and Göran Forssén on bass, two more current Alyson Avenue members followed the call to be part of SAPPHIRE EYES.
The recording line-up is completed by bassists Thomas Löyskä, another Alyson Avenue alumni and Mats Ståhl as well as Francesco Jovino (U.D.O., Hardline) on drums.
The big sound of SAPPHIRE EYES has “Pure Classy Scandinavian AOR” written all over it. The songs are highly melodic with hooklines catchy as hell, the musicianship is of the highest order and the mix handled by Anders “Theo” Theander (Cloudscape, Urban Tale) finds the right balance between top notch vocal performances, guitar power, keyboard heaven and a solid rhythm back bone.”
SAPPHIRE EYES are :
Thomas Bursell: Lead vocals, background vocals
Niclas Olsson: Keyboards, background vocals, drums on track 3
Additional musicians:
Mikael Erlandsson: Lead vocals on tracks 1 & 6
Mike Andersson: Lead vocals on track 8

Release: Lionville – II
Label: Avenue Of Allies
Release date: Nov 30th, 2012
LIONVILLE is back !! The band‘s winning combination of tight song writing, stellar musical performances recorded by a gifted cast of experienced studio cats and upcoming talents, crowned by impressive lead vocals and an album mix paying attention to all the significant little details, made “Lionville” one of 2011’s most favorite AOR records.
Fans and reviewers alike enjoyed the catchy pure AOR sound and among others the album reached # 3 on melodicrock.com’s “Best Debut Album Of 2011” rundown, it also landed at # 20 on the site’s “Best Album Of The Year” charts and the ballad “The World Without Your Love”, written by Richard Marx, Bruce Gaitsch and Amy Sky, reached # 11 on the “Best Ballad” listing.
Soon after the release of last years self-titled debut album (Avenue 11100030) main songwriter, guitarist and vocalist Stefano Lionetti, started working on new material for the follow-up to the band’s very well received first effort. Together with label owner and executive producer Gregor Klee, Stefano discussed the key ingredients for their next co-operation and both agreed that the record should be a musical continuation of the debut with an occasional interesting twist here and there.
LIONVILLE’s sophomore album “II” is another slice of high class AOR with a touch of Westcoast and Melodic Rock, with most of the top flight musicians performing on the debut returning to the recording studio to lay down their tracks. During the spring and summer of 2012 the recordings took place in various studios in Italy, Sweden and the USA, before the mixing and the mastering were completed by Alessandro Del Vecchio in his newly built Ivory Tears Studios close to Milan, Italy.
Lars Säfsund (Work Of Art) shows again that he is one of the most versatile and talented lead and backing vocalists of our time, also Stefano delivers a very solid performance on lead vocals in addition to his melodic guitar playing and an occasional contribution on the keyboards. The song “Higher”, one of the album’s many highlights presents one of the years best vocal arrangements and performances on a Rock song sees the two young European singers unite with one of the AOR and Westcoast genre’s American legends, the two-time Grammy award winning Bill Champlin (formerly of Chicago) with his signature vocals. The trio trades off the lead vocals and Bill’s wife Tamara Champlin joins them on backing vocals.
The excellent band playing on all tracks was also the Lionville live band for the celebrated Firefest performance in October 2012, the line-up includes the Italian musicians Mario Percudani (Hungryheart, Issa, Shining Line, Mitch Malloy), Anna Portalupi (Hardline, Mitch Malloy, Issa, Steve Lukather), Alessandro Mori (Mitch Malloy, Moonstone Project) as well as producer and keyboarder Alessandro Del Vecchio (Edge Of Forever, Hardline, Issa, Mitch Malloy). On the album they are joined by guitarist Bruce Gaitsch (Richard Marx, Chicago) on seven songs, as well as guest guitar players Robert Säll (Work Of Art, W.E.T.), Sven Larsson (Street Talk) and Peter Friestedt (Williams Friestedt, L.A. Project). The invitees are completed by drummer Herman Furin (Work Of Art) on percussions and Italian saxophone luminary Joe La Viola.
Stefano‘s song writing partners are again Pierpaolo “Zorro” Monti (Shining Line, Charming Grace), Robert Säll, Lars Säfsund and Alessandro Del Vecchio and a new co-operation was started with Miqael Persson (Eclipse, Toby Hitchcock, Giant). The only song originating from outside writers is a cover version of Boy Meets Girl’s catchy 80s Pop Rock gem “Waiting For A Star To Fall”, written by George Merrill and Shannon Rubicam.
LIONVILLE “II” turns out to be a more mature and homogenous sounding affair than the band’s debut, paying even more attention to the musical arrangements and production details resulting in a very well balanced mix that pays attention to all the precious little details. In the case of LIONVILLE “II” the much-cited term “Labour Of Love” is certainly appropriate as everyone involved gave their best from start to finish to deliver one of the AOR highlights of 2012.
LIONVILLE is:
Stefano Lionetti: Lead & backing vocals, electric & acoustic guitars, keyboards
With:
Lars Säfsund: Lead & backing vocals
Alessandro Del Vecchio: Keyboards & backing vocals
Bruce Gaitsch: Electric & acoustic guitars
Mario Percudani: Electric guitars
Anna Portalupi: Bass
Alessandro Mori: Drums & percussion
Very Special Guests:
Bill Champlin: Lead & backing vocals on “Higher”
Tamara Champlin: Backing vocals on “Higher”
Robert Säll: Guitars & keyboards on “All This Time”
Sven Larsson: Guitars on “One In A Million”
Peter Friestedt: Guitars on “Another Day”

Two and a half years after their debut album “Hollywood Rocks” (Avenue 1007 0015) WHEELS OF FIRE return with their second record “Up For Anything”. Following the first release of the band, which reached the #42 position on the charts of the Japanese Burrn! magazine, WHEELS OF FIRE have established themselves in the club circuit in North Italy as an entertaining live act with a stable line-up, that also recorded the songs for their sophomore release.
Front man Davide “Dave Rox” Barbieri and guitar player Stefano Zeni were already the core of the recording line-up of “Hollywood Rocks”, since then the duo was joined by Marcello Suzzani on bass, Andrea Vergori on keyboards & piano and Fabrizio Uccellini on drums.
Dave and Stefano are also the song writers for all tracks of the album, on some songs Alessandro Del Vecchio (Lionville, Edge Of Forever, Hardline) and Pierpaolo “Zorro 11” Monti (Shining Line, Charming Grace, Lionville) lend a helping hand in the writing process.
The compositions of Dave and Stefano impressively show the progression of the band into a contemporary Rock act incorporating modern elements into their sound while staying true to their musical roots of the Melodic Rock sound of the 80s. WHEELS OF FIRE stand for instantly memorable vocal lines and choruses with carefully arranged harmonies, hook laden powerful guitar riffs and solos combined with well balanced keyboards and piano entries, big sounding drums and solid bass tracks.
Dave delivers a highly professional production job on “Up For Anything” and for the album mix and the mastering Roberto Priori (Danger Zone) was behind the studio desk.
On the list of international guests are James Christian (House of Lords) who performs a vocal duet with Dave on the midtempo rocker “Don’t Walk Away” and is his wife Robin Beck, joining him on backing vocals.
And Swedish guitar player Rob Marcello (Danger Danger, Marcello-Vestry) laid down the solo for “No Mercy”. Contributions from local Italian musicians come from Michele Luppi (Secret Sphere, Los Angeles, ex-Vision Divine), Roberto Zari and Andrea “Mitzi” Dal Santo on backing vocals throughout the album and a full horn section on “Yesterday’s Gone”.
Following the release of the album the band will hit the road again in 2013 to present their new songs.

Sometimes you just need a little bit of luck. Because of a funny coincidence the long lost original recordings from BONFIRE’s appearance at the Wacken Open Air have been discovered. This almost historical piece of music has been sonically updated and will now be released officially.
The German rock legend is releasing the album as a teaser before it’s new studio record ‐ planned for the end of the year. Of course, there have been some BONFIRE‐live records in the past, but on „Live In Wacken“ you can really find different versions of the band’s anthems like „SDI“, „Champion“ or „Ready 4 Reaction“ as well as the song „Wake Up“. An anthem the band hasn’t performed live for quite a long time.
Besides that „Live In Wacken“ offers exclusive bonus tracks. Live versions of the songs „Bells Of Freedom“, „Let Me Be Your Water“ and „Black Night“ from the acclaimed rock opera „The Räuber“ (previously unreleased on CD), the exclusive studio track „Thank You“ and an exciting new version of the ballad „Hold Me Now“ from the last BONFIRE‐studio album „Branded“.
„Live In Wacken“ has been mastered by Maor Appelbaum (Yngwie Malmsteen, Rob Halford, Queensryche) and will be released on the 31st of May 2013 on LZ Records/Sony Music.
Track list: 1. Intro/Wake Up (Live), 2. Never Mind (Live), 3. Sweet Obsession (Live), 4. In Zaire (Live), 5. The Stroke (Live), 6. Sword And Stone (Live), 7. SDI (Live), 8. Drum Solo (Live), 9. American Nights (Live), 10. Ready 4 Reaction (Live), 11. Obsessive Prelude (Live), 12. Champion (Live), 13. The Räuber/Bells Of Freedom (Live), 14. Let Me Be Your Water (Live), 15. Black Night (Live), 16. Thank You (Previously Unreleased), 17. Hold Me Now (Extended Mix 2013)

When Indigo Balboa and Paco Cerezo started to work together in 2008 they felt that their musical talents are a perfect match. At the time the Spanish duo started to compose songs together and founded the band INDICCO, Indigo Balboa had just returned from California where he was working on his second solo album with the well known musician/song writer/producer Mark Spiro and Paco Cerezo had just left the internationally renowned Spanish Melodic Rock band 91 Suite of which he was the co-founder and guitar player.
Three years in the making, “Karmalion” marks INDICCO’s debut album, a pure Melodic Rock affair of international quality, combining fresh new ideas with the classic AOR trademarks of the bands that inspired INDICCO’s sound, like Survivor, Giant, John Waite, Toto and Bad English.
“Karmalion” unites the Spanish Melodic Rock elite with three iconic AOR heavyweights, underlining the high musical standard the band is aiming for :
Jimi Jamison (Survivor), one of the best vocalists of the AOR genre, is sharing lead vocals with Indigo Balboa on three tracks, did backing vocals and co-wrote a song as well.
Mark Spiro (Bad English, Giant, John Waite, Mr. Big) co-wrote and recorded vocals for three songs of the album. He also played piano and keyboards and took care of parts of the production at his studio in Carlsbad, California.
Tim Pierce (Rick Springfield, John Waite, Eric Martin), one of the most in demand session guitar players on the globe is featured on additional guitars.
The album was produced by Indigo Balboa, Paco Cerezo and Mark Spiro and the band INDICCO is completed by Antonio Muñoz (ex-91 Suite) on bass, Lean Martinez (ex-91 Suite) on drums and Angel Valdegrama on keys.
In their home country where they toured with Jimi Jamison and several other international acts the band already won praise for their powerful live sound.

MARKONEE originate from the lively Rock scene of Bologna, Italy, where the band was founded by guitar player Stefano Peresson (ex-Danger Zone) back in 1999 together with guitar player Carlo Bevilacqua. Adapting their band name from the Italian radio pioneer Guglielmo Marconi the band’s sound carries on the Classic Hard Rock in the tradition of genre favorites such as Winger, Ratt, Warrant, Skid Row, Pink Cream 69, Firehouse and Gotthard.
So far the band has released two records, “The Spirit Of Radio” (2006), a concept album about the invention of the radio, and “See The Thunder” (2009), which was mixed and mastered by Beau Hill (Alice Cooper, Europe, Ratt, Winger). MARKONEE toured mainland Europe and the United Kingdom extensively in support of their second album, performing dozens of shows with the likes of Winger, Gotthard, White Lion, The Sweet, Molly Hatchet, Tyketto, Soul Doctor, Y&T, L.A. Guns and House Of Shakira.
“Club Of Broken Hearts”, their brand new, third release, marks the recording debut of singer Alessio Trapella, who joined the band in 2011. For their latest effort the Italian five-piece recorded 12 original tunes and delivers their strongest set of songs up to today.
This time the album was mixed & mastered by Roberto Priori(Danger Zone,Wheels Of Fire),“Club Of Broken Hearts” also features a guest performance by Michele Luppi(Los Angeles, Secret Sphere, ex-Vision Divine). The album sees the band rocking a little harder than on their previous record, offering driving guitars, majestic vocals and a driving big time groove. Highlights include the rock anthem “I Say No”, the catchy title track, the cleverly arranged “Shaken & Stirred” and the musical tribute to their hometown, “Rock City”.
Germano Giusti - Horn solo on “Never Ever Loved Me”
Alessandro Cosentino – Violins on “Never Ever Loved Me”

When Daniel Andersson and Stefan Olofsson released the self titled STATE COWS debut album (Avenue 1008 0016) in 2010, the feedback from the fans and the media alike was nothing short of phenomenal. The reviewers wrote, “Westcoast music at its best“, “a future classic among Westcoast fans”, “by far the best release in the Westcoast genre in recent years”, “an absolute must for anyone who is seeking a contemporary Westcoast outfit”, “they totally nailed the classic Westcoast sound but they have a unique style all their own”.
And one of the true icons of the genre, Jay Graydon, who contributed a guitar solo to the song “New York Town”, said: “These guys have surely taken West Coast Pop to another level adding the freshness of youth. Great songs, arrangements and performances!“ Accolades galore, raising the expectations for the follow-up to a very high level and with their sophomore album aptly titled “The Second One” the Swedes have definitely managed to live up to their reputation as one of the best Westcoast bands since the glory days of the genre ended almost 30 years ago.
For the recordings of “The Second One”, Daniel and Stefan invited most of the musicians who already conduced to the success of the first album again. Jay Graydon returns for a guitar solo on upbeat “In The City”, but he is not the only one of the former L.A. session cats who makes an appearance, Michael Landau plays the guitar solo on “This Time” and you can listen to Bill Champlin’s vocals on “Finally Fair and Balanced” with the typical arrangement you expect when you hear Bill’s voice. Ian Bairnson of Alan Parsons Project / Keats fame played a guitar solo on “I Got Myself Together”, while the local Swedish guitar talents, Peter Friestedt and Sven Larsson paid a courtesy visit for a guitar solo on “Mister White” and “Hard Goodbye” respectively.
“The Second One” with its stellar song writing, the perfect arrangements, the great harmony vocals and the impressive list of guest musicians is the perfect addition to the CD collection of everyone looking for the classic Westcoast sound along the lines of Airplay, Pages, Steely Dan, Marc Jordan, Michael McDonald, David Roberts, Toto and Chicago.
All songs written, produced and arranged by Stefan Olofsson and Daniel Andersson
Recorded at White Cherry Hill Studios
Mixed by Stefan Olofsson
Mastered by Stefan Olofsson
Horn arrangement on “In the City” by Per Bejstam
Flugelhorn solo on “Mister White” arranged by Hans Hjortek

The history of HARTMANN began in summer 2004 when Oliver Hartmann recorded his first solo album. During this time he was already known as a highly respected singer on the international music scene since the late 90’s due to four successful records with the power metal band At Vance, his participation in top sellers as Tobias Sammet's Avantasia and many other well known productions in the hard rock and metal scene. Co-produced and mixed by top producer Sascha Paeth at Gate Studios/Germany the debut album 'Out in the cold' was released in spring 2005 and reviewed as 'Album of the month' in a wide range of well known rock magazines all over the world. It was also elected by melodicrock.com as 'Song of the year' and 'Ballad of the year' with the songs 'What if I' and 'Into the light'. During the following months the band played their first single shows and festivals in Germany and luckily got the chance in summer 2006 to be touring over Europe for the first time as support for rock legend Toto. At the end of 2006 the four-piece went back to the studio to record the second album 'Home' with a slightly rougher and modernized band sound. Released in spring 2007 the album again received great feedback from the press. This release was followed by two support tours for House Of Lords in early spring 2007 and for The Hooters in summer 2007. In autumn of the same year the band played two exclusive shows in the intimate atmosphere of the old German varieté theater 'Pegasus' in Bensheim/ Germany. Supported by the three amazing background singers Ina Morgan, Kolinda Brozovic and Tiffany Kirkland as special guests both shows were filmed and recorded for the live DVD & CD 'Handmade' which were released in spring 2008. It is outstanding material like real 'handmade' versions of the studio albums and previously unreleased tracks and a cover version of John Miles' 'Music'.
After Oliver's world-wide tour in summer 2008 as guitarist and singer for Tobias Sammet's Avantasia and several European shows with HARTMANN as special guest for Edguy in spring 2009, the third album '3' was released in late 2009 on the new founded and artist owned record label SONIC 11.
During the following two years the band played numerous shows and festivals and was asked to be special guest on tours of bands such as Mother's Finest, Uriah Heep and Y&T. In mid of 2011 Oliver and the band started again to write songs for a new studio album of HARTMANN and a year later, right after Oliver had been touring with the successful live project 'Rock Meets Classic' (feat. Ian Gillan, Jimi Jamison, Steve Lukather, Chris Thompson and Robin Beck), the recordings for 'Balance' were completed. This fourth album, released by Avenue of Allies label in June 2012, was once again mixed by Sascha Paeth at Gate Studio and offered high-class melodic Rock music with a modern approach and international class.
In summer 2012 HARTMANN was again special guest on Toto's tour in Germany - the last concerts with the band for drummer and former member Dario Ciccioni who got married and decided to move to New York. After a few auditions Markus Kullmann (Voodoo Circle, Desperadoz, Glenn Hughes) joined the band as the new drummer in autumn to play his first gigs with HARTMANN on a double headliner tour in November and December 2012 with German hard rock act Jaded Heart. After Oliver's second tour with 'Rock meets Classic' in early spring 2013 featuring legends as Paul Rodgers, Bonnie Tyler and Hooters’ vocalist Eric Bazilian plus his world tour with Avantasia during summer 2013 the band is already working on new songs for the next studio album of HARTMANN. After seven years of HARTMANN and five albums the compilation 'The Best Is Yet To Come' is putting together the best and most popular tracks of the band's career. Other remarkable songs are the bonus tracks 'Brothers' (live – feat. Tobias Sammet) and the stunning cover of Tears for Fears' hit 'Shout' which now has been remixed again as a digital bonus track for this compilation. And of course it's just an intermediate result …because we're sure THE BEST IS YET TO COME…
The re-issue of “Out In The Cold” features the bonus track “Rescue In My Arms” which was previously only available on the Japanese pressing of this release. www.oliverhartmann.com Tracklist – The Best Is Yet to Come: 1) All My Life, 2) Alive Again, 3) Right Here Right Now, 4) Out In The Cold, 5) Crying, 6) After The Love Is Gone, 7) Like A River, The Sun’s Still Rising, 9) What If I, 10) Don’t Give Up Your Dream, 11) Suddenly, 12) Save Me, 13) Coming Home To You, 14) Into The Light, 15) Brothers live (feat. Tobias Sammet & Sascha Paeth), (16) Music live, (17) Shout Remix*

Band: The Theander Expression
Release: Strange Nostalgia
Label: Avenue Of Allies
Out: Sept 20th, 2013
PR: info@germusica.com
Music was Andrée Theander’s constant companion since the age of ten when he first picked up a guitar. Soon after he also started writing music, took guitar lessons and joined the music program at the high school in his hometown Härnösand in Sweden. Later his musical studies led Andrée to the university in Piteå, Sweden, where he took classes to become a professional studio musician. To enhance his musical abilities he spent several months in the USA where he attended various courses at the Musicians Institute (GIT) in Los Angeles. During his stay in California Andrée met Fusion pioneer Jeff Lorber who invited him to lay down some guitar tracks for his “Galaxy” album (2012). Quite an honour for a young virtually unknown music student to be included in the album credits next to L.A. session cats like Michael Thompson, Vinnie Colaiuta or Jimmy Haslip.
Back in Sweden Andrée felt he was ready to make his dream come true and to start working on his own album. Andrée recruted a great line-up of Rock musicians from Sweden, he either knew personally or who had impressed him with their previous work. Over the course of the months the recording debut of “THE THEANDER EXPRESSION” began to take shape with Göran Edman (Street Talk, Glory, Y. Malmsteen), and the very promising newcomer Christian Hedgren sharing the lead vocals, Herman Furin (Work Of Art, Fergie Frederiksen) on drums, Linus Abrahamson on bass and Michael Ottosson on keyboards.
The result of the recording sessions, which were completed by the mix of Per Ryberg (Street Talk, Sven Larsson, Bloodbound) and the mastering of Sören von Malmborg (Dan Reed, The Rasmus) is nothing but spectacular, proving that Andrée Theander is a very talented songwriter and a strikingly skilled guitar player, who knows how to leave a lasting impression by combining his technical skills with a lot of feeling and an unmistakable sense for catchy melodies. Together with his band he delivers a pure AOR album, spiced up with energetic licks and furious solos and occasionally leaning towards the more powerful side of 80s Westcoast, all in all tailor-made for everyone who is into the high class AOR sounds of bands like Street Talk, Toto, Work Of Art, Mecca and Lionville.
THE THEANDER EXPRESSION :
Andrée Theander – Guitars and backing vocals
Christian Hedgren – Lead vocals on tracks 1-3 and 7-9
Göran Edman – Lead and backing vocals on tracks 4-6 and 10, backing vocals on tracks 3, 7 and 9
Michael Ottosson – Keyboards
Linus Abrahamson – Bass
Herman Furin – Drums and percussion
Peter Gardemar – Violin and viola on track 9
Ylva Nilsson – Cello on track 9
Philip Magnusson – Backing vocals on tracks 1, 2, 4, and 7
Elin Åkesson – Backing vocals on tracks 6 and 10

Band: Sparklands
Release: Tomocyclus
Label: Avenue Of Allies
Out: Sept 20th, 2013
PR: info@germusica.com
SPARKLANDS is a journey back to a first love – AOR.
Music was everything for Thomas Riekerk and his brother Robert Riekerk when they grew up in the Netherlands and AOR was Thomas’ first love. Band posters of Bad English, Giant, Toto and Foreigner were all over the walls of their rooms and in every corner there were guitars and amps. Back then music was not available digitally so the record store became their second home, when they were in search of that one album that was only available through import.
AOR was the music the parents of the Riekerk brothers played at home. Not a day went by without banging drums or screaming guitar solos, Thomas remembers there was always a Giant or Toto track coming from his parents’ stereo. These are the memories that both brothers cherish a lot after their father passed away a few years ago. Times were tough for the Riekerks and the sadness they all experienced could not have been channelled better than through a song. In remembrance of their father, Thomas and Robert wrote the song “Tomocyclus” together, named after the boat of their late father. This song could be described as the beginning of SPARKLANDS and it also became the album title.
Despite all the different musical directions they had both travelled since the AOR filled days of their youth, suddenly there was the urge to make a record together that could have been played on their dad’s stereo. Their first love AOR, the remembrance of father Riekerk: it all comes together in SPARKLANDS.
The first noteable appearance of the Riekerk brothers in the music business dates back to the early 90s, when they started to work with the Dutch AOR artist Ralph Van Manen. Ralph’s “Face The Feeling” record from 1992 is one of the best AOR records to come from the Netherlands, on this masterpiece Robert co-wrote several tracks and played guitar and Thomas sang backing vocals.
The Riekerk’s continued to work with Ralph Van Manen on his next albums and Robert had the pleasure of co-writing “Testify To Love” with Ralph, Henk Pool and Paul Field. The song earned them several awards and it became a huge hit for the American band Avalon. Also Wynonna Judd’s version was a big success, later the song was recorded by numerous other artists as well.
Over the years Thomas was part of many different Pop and Rock bands. One of them was the Dutch band Beam. Beam got signed by a major label and recorded an album at the Wisseloord Studios (famous for sessions of Def Leppard, Magnum, Scorpions, Sting). Soon Beam got nationwide attention on the radio and TV (Top Of The Pops / MTV) and they also toured in the Netherlands and various other countries. Thomas also did a lot of backing vocal sessions for different (international) artists.
Many years and projects later the time had come for Thomas to become the front man of his own band and to start telling his own story. Together with his brother Robert he gathered some befriended producers and musicians, like Simon Gitsels (Van Velzen), Minco Eggersman and Martijn Groeneveld (producer of Blaudzun) and they started the writing and recording sessions for SPARKLANDS.
The guys worked hard on getting that famous retro sound, by using a lot of vintage gear they layed down the ultimate AOR sound for their debut record “Tomocyclus”. Songs filled with big guitar solos, huge drums, powerful catchy hooklines and melodies and multi layered backing vocals delivering a tasteful collection of songs bringing back the days of bands like Boulevard, Saga, Mr. Mister, Bad English and Giant.
The band has signed a deal with a renowned booking agency and together with the befriended session musicians, Rolf Perdok (guitars), Rob Vermeulen (bass) and Colin Lee Vermeulen (drums) Thomas and Robert will start touring with SPARKLANDS in the fall of 2013.
Let the Sparks fly!

Product: Roadfever – Wolf Pack Release date: Nov. 22nd, 2013 Label: Avenue of Allies PR: info@germusica.com
Powerful Classic Hard Rock with great melodies, served with a healthy dose of Southern Rock, is what you hear when the songs of ROADFEVER’s second album “Wolf Pack” are blasting out of your speakers. The female fronted Power Rock band from Switzerland takes you back to the sound of the 80s and successfully manages to raise the already high quality level of their debut “Wheels On Fire” (2009) by presenting a record with a superb state-of-the-art sound of kick-ass Rock songs.
Formed back in 2005 the Swiss four-piece fronted by Stevie “Manou” Pike has established its reputation as an act with an energetic live show. Over the years ROADFEVER has been opening for bands and sharing the same festival stages with bands such as: Blackfoot, Scorpions, Trust, Uli Jon Roth, Pretty Maids, Rhino Bucket, Eric Singer Project, Little Caesar and more. David Pariat on guitars, Jessie Be on bass and Pascal Bavaud on drums complete the line-up, whose vital performance and stage presence was documented on the band’s DVD “Live in Geneva” (2010).
While Stevie is responsible for the lyrics and vocal melodies, David Pariat, former lead guitar player of fellow Swiss Hard Rockers Sideburn, composes and arranges the songs and takes care of the album production, with Phil Risch and Stephan Montinaro as recording engineers. For the mix and mastering of “Wolf Pack” the band could win German sound wizard Achim Köhler (Sinner, Primal Fear, Voodoo Circle), who put the finishing touches to the songs in his Indiscreet Audio Studio. With Mat Sinner (Sinner, Primal Fear, Voodoo Circle), who sings a duet with Stevie on “Magic Sun” and Oliver Hartmann (Hartmann, Avantasia) supporting her on the anthemic choirs of several tunes, additional assistance for the Swiss neighbours comes from the higher ranks of the German Rock scene.

The journey down REVOLUTION ROAD began when producer Alessandro Del Vecchio and Avenue Of Allies label owner Gregor Klee sat together on the riverside of the Ticino in Northern Italy in the spring of 2011 and talked about some of their favourite singers who didn’t release new material during the last couple of years.
One of the names that came up during the conversation of the two Classic Rock fans was Stefan Berggren. The distinctive sound of the voice of the former lead singer of Snakes In Paradise and Company Of Snakes was missed by both of them and surely quite a few more followers of the Swedish vocalist and the bands he sang in.
Shortly after the exchange of some ideas for the new project Alessandro contacted Stefan, who immediately expressed interest in a cooperation. During the fall and winter of 2011 / 2012 an album began to take shape with Stefan submitting some of his own compositions to the pool of 20 songs for the record, that also included song contributions from Alessandro and his writing partners Paul Logue (Eden’s Curse), Carmine Martone and Francesco Marras. The final song selection, made by executive producer Gregor Klee, sets great store in delivering a track list of the highest order for all lovers of Classic Hard Rock with a touch of Melodic Rock and AOR.
With Alessandro Del Vecchio (Edge Of Forever, Hardline, Lionville, Fergie Frederiksen) in the producer’s seat all of the songwriters also took part in the recording sessions performing as a band on each tune of the record. Carmine Martone and Francesco Marras delivered some smokin’ hot guitar work with amazing solos, Paul Logue provided the bass tracks and Francesco Jovino (U.D.O., Sapphire Eyes, Hardline, Skill In Veins) layed down the solid drum groove. Alessandro, who was of course also responsible for the keyboards and some mean Hammond B3 playing, also invited Voodoo Circle main man Alex Beyrodt (Sinner, Primal Fear) to bring the marvelous “Ain't Gonna Give My Heart Away”, a particular highlight of the album, to another level. As guests on guitar Stefan brought in his former Snakes In Paradise colleagues, Stefan Jonsson and Thomas Jakobsson as well as Marcus Jidell (Royal Hunt, Doogie White, Alfonzetti). The recording debut of REVOLUTION ROAD with its magnificent production of a terrific variety of songs and the more than solid musical performances by seasoned players is the very welcome return of Stefan Berggren, a high class Rock shouter, who is finally back with an album that will convince any Rock fan. REVOLUTION ROAD musicians: Stefan Berggren: Lead vocals, backing vocals, acoustic guitar on "Shooting Star", “Pretending Hearts” and “Balloon” Alessandro Del Vecchio: Keyboards, Hammond and backing vocals Francesco Marras: Lead and rhythm guitars Carmine Martone: Lead and rhythm guitars Paul Logue: Bass Francesco Jovino: Drums Guest musicians : Alex Beyrodt: Guitar solo on "Ain't Gonna Give My Heart Away" Thomas Jakobsson: Additional rhythm guitars on "Pretending Hearts” Marcus Jidell: Lead guitar solo and additional rhythm guitars on "Love's Got A Hold On Me" Stefan Jonsson: Lead guitar solo & additional rhythm guitars on "Shooting Star”, lead guitar and rhythm guitar solo on “Pretending Hearts”
