KISS Announce Canadian Monster Tour Dates

January 2013 marked four decades since the legendary rock band KISS was
born. Forty years later, having racked up 28 U.S. gold albums along
with 40 million U.S. and 100 million in world sales, Gene Simmons and
Paul Stanley
, with longtime members guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer
Eric Singer, return stronger than ever.

Released in late 2012, through Universal Music, Monster marks the
20th studio album in the band’s historic career. The 12-song (plus
bonus track), straight-ahead rock ‘n’ roll album features collaborations
from all four members in an effort that shows KISS at the top of its
game. Monster is the group’s first studio album since the band’s 2009
smash success Sonic Boom, and was also produced by Paul Stanley with
Greg Collins at Conway Studios in Hollywood, CA, and The Nook in Studio
City, CA.

It doesn’t get bigger than Monster, or KISS for that matter, 40
years old and ready to kick the asses of any young rock pretenders out
there. The Monster is KISS at its larger-than-life best.

KISS Legends To Open Third Rock & Brews

Rock icons Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, co-founders of KISS have
announced plans to open a new Rock & Brews restaurant on May 8th.

The new Rock & Brews is located on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH)
in Torrance, Calif., and is the newest in the Los Angeles area and the
third to open in just over a year, demonstrating Rock & Brews plans
for a worldwide rapid expansion of the brand. Rock & Brews PCH joins
the brand’s growing roster that includes its flagship location in El
Segundo, Calif., which opened in April of 2012, and the first
international location in Los Cabos, Mexico, which opened in March 2013.

“We continue to expand Rock & Brews worldwide with a commitment
to building a family-friendly atmosphere that serves exceptional food
along with a broad selection of craft beers,” said Stanley. “We offer
incredible value in a fun, energized rock-themed environment.”

Four additional Rock & Brews restaurants are currently in
development: Rock & Brews LAX (CA) will open this summer (in the
Delta Airlines Terminal); Rock & Brews Maui (HI) will open this
fall; Rock & Brews Agoura (CA) will also open this fall; and, Rock
& Brews Kansas City (MO) is slated to open early next year.

"Rock & Brews is on fire around the globe,” said Simmons.
“People love bringing their families all day long and through dinner,
and enjoy the rockin’ social scene later in the evening.”

Stanley and Simmons, along with their co-founding partners,
restaurateur Michael Zislis and concert industry veterans Dave and Dell
Furano, plan to open as many as 100 Rock & Brews restaurants in the
next five years.

The new Rock & Brews PCH welcomes local partner Jon Mesko, who
will own and operate the Torrance location. The restaurant will feature
the brand’s signature casual American cuisine, a full bar including a
broad selection of premium wines and craft beers, and there will be a
21-and-over lounge area with private tables, offering self-service beer
taps, monitored through new iPad software that tracks consumption and
also provides detailed information about other draft and bottled beers
available at the restaurant.

Join Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons on Wednesday, May 8th for the Grand Opening of Rock & Brews Pacific Coast Highway.

KISS Announce Monster Japan Tour 2013

KISS will return to Japan for four shows this October. The band have scheduled the following dates:

October
19 - Makuhari Messe Arena - Tokyo, Japan
21 - Osaka Castle Hall - Osaka, Japan
23 - Budokan - Tokyo, Japan
24 - Budokan -Tokyo, Japan

Check out a special site dedicated to KISS' upcoming Japanese dates at this location.

KISS vocalist/guitarist Paul Stanley and vocalist/bassist Gene Simmons will appear on The Today Show on September 10th during the 10am hour. They will be promoting the new KISS book, Nothin' To Lose.

Nothin' to Lose: The Making of KISS (1972-1975) chronicles, for the first time, the crucial formative years of the legendary rock band KISS, culminating with the groundbreaking success of their classic 1975 album Alive! and the smash single 'Rock And Roll All Nite', a song that nearly four decades later remains one of rock's most enduring anthems. Drawing on more than two hundred interviews, the book offers a captivating and intimate fly-on-the-wall account of their launch, charting the struggles and ultimate victories that led them to the threshold of superstardom.

Constructed as an oral history, the book includes original interviews with Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss, as well as with producers; engineers; management; record company personnel; roadies; club owners; booking agents; concert promoters; costume, stage, and art designers; rock photographers; publicists; and key music journalists.

Many of KISS' musical contemporaries from the time, most of whom shared concert bills with the band on their early tours, also lend their perspective via new interviews; these include: BOB SEGER, ALICE COOPER, and TED NUGENT, as well as members of AEROSMITH, BLACK SABBATH, RUSH, SLADE, BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, MOTT THE HOOPLE, JOURNEY, REO SPEEDWAGON, STYX, THE NEW YORK DOLLS, IGGY & THE STOOGES, THE RAMONES, and URIAH HEEP, among others.

The result is an indelible and irresistible portrait of a band on the rise and of the music scene they changed forever.
