Number Of The Beast) - had passed away after a long battle with Multiple
Sclerosis on March 12th at the age of 56.
More bands have expressed their thoughts and condolences below
including his former bandmate, singer

heart,
Clive. A truly unique talent, that will never be forgotten."
Bill Ward (BLACK SABBATH): "My wife and I respectfully send our
condolences to the family and friends of
Clive Burr. Thank you, Clive
for all you’ve brought to rock’s history. My wife Jackie particularly
liked
Clive’s drumming and was a huge fan."
SLASH (VELVET REVOLVER, ex-GUNS N' ROSES): "Really sad news; RIP
Clive Burr. Played on my face Iron Maiden records."
Chris Caffery (TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA, SAVATAGE): "I remember
meeting
Clive Burr from
Iron Maiden when I was 13. He was an awesome
drummer and a nice guy. He was struck with the same terrible disease
that my sister and many friends are affected by...MS. Today he passed
away but his drumming on the few Iron Maiden recordings he did and the
concert moments I witnessed with him will always be in my memory...RIP
Clive !
INCANTATION: "Thanks for the inspirational drumming, you will never be forgotten. Your influence will live on forever. R.I.P."
RIOT: "Deepest condolences go out to drummer
Clive Burr's Family and
Iron Maiden from Riot. Losing a bandmate past or present is never easy.
Shine On
Clive."
