Legendary multi-platinum Canadian rockers celebrate new album, Rock 'n' Roll Revival, as blockbuster Journey tour dates continue through end of month
Loverboy is still wowing fans on the
road and lovin' every minute of it, as their blockbuster national
tour with Journey continues in February. The Canadian rock legends
schedule features dates with Journey and Pat Benatar + Neil Giraldo in Sioux City (2/5) and Moline, IL (2/6); with Journey and Night Ranger

Going on 30-plus years as a working rock and roll band, Loverboy has
sold more than 10 million albums, with four multi-platinum plaques,
including the four-million-selling Get Lucky. The group still features
the original line-up of vocalist Mike Reno, guitarist Paul Dean, drummer
Matt Frenette and keyboardist Doug Johnson with bassist Ken Spider
Sinnaeve replacing the late Scott Smith.
The band's most recent Frontiers Records studio album, Rock 'n' Roll
Revival, features three new tracks, Rock 'n' Roll Revival,
Heartbreaker and No Tomorrow, with the latter two produced with
their original engineer Bob Rock (Metallica, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi) at
Bryan Adams' famed Warehouse Studios in Vancouver. Rock worked under
Loverboy producer Bruce Fairbairn, whose work with the band was recently
praised by prominent blogger Bob Lefsetz; 'Turn Me Loose' is a
masterpiececertain tracks are just undeniable. This debut was as strong
as Bad Company's, as strong as ANYBODY'S!
The band have been keeping busy in between tour dates, with lead guitarist Paul Dean
mixing, producing and adding guitar tracks while on the tour bus for
legendary Canadian rocker Greg Godovitz's solo debut, aMuseMe, which can
be streamed on SoundCloud (
Meanwhile, lead singer Mike Reno appeared on the Canadian TV comedy
show, Health Nutz, where he talked about the band's tour, which can be
seen on YouTube.
Loverboy have also made their mark on popular culture. The band will
appear in a video montage taking place inside the mind of Matthew Perry
on the Feb. 26 episode of his new NBC comedy, Go On, as part of his
education on meditation.
